Salutations Taipei Drammers!

Hope everyone had a fantastic CNY, and happy Year of the Horse!

It’s time to get back into the swing of things with our March event. On March 21, we’re partnering with Compass Box, the most awarded independent whisky brand in the world!

Founded in 2000, Compass Box is on a mission to make the world of Scotch whisky a more interesting place – exploring undiscovered territories beyond the map. From their Blending Room in Richmond, London, they continue to push the boundaries of what whisky can be, guided by flavour, not convention. Different to a distiller, more than a blender, they are Scotch Whiskymakers. For the event, you will get to taste the following expressions from their core range:

1. Orchard House
2. Nectarosity
3. Crimson Casks
4. Peat Monster

Of course, we will also have a Mystery Dram for everyone to enjoy!

For this event, the good folks at The 18 Whisky & Cigar Lounge are once again offering their awesome venue for us to enjoy. They’ve recently updated their menu, and now offer a full selection of tasty food options. To show your support, please order something from their menu. We will begin the event once everyone’s had a chance to finish their meal.

After the official tasting, we will begin our Drammers Time BYOB portion of the evening. To participate, you’ll need to bring a bottle with a minimum cost of $2,000 NTD. As always, you can bring bottles that are already open, but please make sure there is at least half the bottle left so that everyone can give it a try.

This event is organized by the Taiwan Chapter of Dram Alliance – an international whisky group that features chapters in multiple cities across the globe. We hope that this is the first of many gatherings in Taipei where passionate whisky enthusiasts of all experience levels can gather together, share some drams, and discuss this wonderful hobby!

希望大家都度過了一個超棒的農曆新年，也祝大家馬年順心如意、好運奔騰！

三月活動準備開跑啦！3 月 21 日，我們將攜手全球獲獎最多的獨立威士忌品牌 —— Compass Box —— 為大家帶來一場精彩品飲體驗！

創立於 2000 年，Compass Box 致力於讓蘇格蘭威士忌的世界變得更加精彩有趣，勇於探索地圖之外尚未發現的風味疆界。他們在倫敦里奇蒙的調和室，以風味為核心，而非拘泥於傳統，不斷突破威士忌的可能性。不同於一般酒廠，也不只是調和商，他們自豪地稱自己為「Scotch Whiskymakers（蘇格蘭威士忌創作者）」。

本次活動中，大家將能品嚐到以下核心系列酒款：

4. Peat Monster

當然，還少不了為大家準備的神秘酒款（Mystery Dram），一起期待驚喜吧！

本次活動場地再次感謝 The 18 Whisky & Cigar Lounge 熱情提供舒適又專業的空間。近期他們也更新了菜單，現在提供更完整且美味的餐點選擇。為了支持場地夥伴，請大家務必從菜單中點用至少一項餐點。我們將在大家用餐完畢後正式開始活動。

官方品飲結束後，將進入我們晚間的 Drammers Time BYOB 時段。想參與的朋友需攜帶一瓶市價至少新台幣 2,000 元的酒款。與往常一樣，可以攜帶已開瓶的酒，但請確保至少還有半瓶以上，讓每位 Drammer 都能品嚐到。

本活動由 Dram Alliance 台灣分會主辦。Dram Alliance 是一個國際性的威士忌社群，在全球多個城市設有分會。我們希望這只是台北眾多聚會的開始，讓不同資歷與經驗的威士忌愛好者都能齊聚一堂，分享好酒、交流心得，一起享受這份迷人的興趣！
