DESCRIPTION:Hello Drammers! \nJuly is in full swing\, which means we should get together soon in order to beat the heat! On July 24th\, join us at TONIC for Drammers Time\, our bring-your-own-bottle (BYOB) whisky meetup! \nThe theme for this casual gathering will be bottles with a minimum cost of $5\,000 NTD. As always\, you can bring bottles that are already open\, but please make sure there is at least half the bottle left so that everyone can give it a try. If the last 5K Drammers Time was any indication\, it will be an evening filled with some amazing drams. \nOur venue for this whisky gathering is the recently-opened TONIC. Headed by our very own Geoff Oxley (aka Gwhisky)\, Geoff’s new bar is the premier spot in Taipei for fizzy libations in addition to an extensive whisky selection. Come and celebrate the opening of TONIC with your fellow drammers at this exclusive BYOB event! Please note that there will be a one drink minimum for all participants of this event. \nThis event is organized by the Taiwan Chapter of Dram Alliance – an international whisky group that features chapters in multiple cities across the globe. DESCRIPTION:Howdy Drammers! \nWe’re fully into the month of August\, which means it’s time to announce our August event. On August 22\, Keeper Lester is coming back to town\, and will be hosting our very first Independents Day – a celebration of independent bottlers! \nThis time\, we’ve got a great variety of well-aged scotches from different regions and cask maturations from various independent bottlers around the world. Here’s the official lineup: \n\n2001 Linkwood 22Y Aqua Vitae x Shinanoya\n2009 Clynelish First Editions Or Sileis 16Y\nSansibar 1999 Secret Orkney 22Y\nBBR 2000 Speyside 17Y Cask 2355\n2004 SMOS Ledaig 17Y\n\nIn addition to these\, Lester will also prepare a Mystery Dram for everyone to try – it’s gonna be a doozy! \nOur venue for this whisky event is the recently-opened TONIC. Headed by our very own Geoff Oxley (aka Gwhisky)\, Geoff’s new bar is the premier spot in Taipei for fizzy libations in addition to an extensive whisky selection. The cover charge for this event will be $1\,200 per person\, and this includes a cocktail made by Geoff himself! \nAfter the official tasting\, we will move on to the Drammers Time BYOB portion of the evening. To participate\, simply bring an independently bottled whisky with a minimum cost of $2\,000 NTD.
