DESCRIPTION:Howdy Drammers! \nOur June event is going to be an absolute banger. On June 25th\, join us at Gilley’s Garden for Keepers of the Cask\, where we will explore some killer whiskies from renowned independent bottler and distiller Gordon & Macphail. This time\, Geoff Oxley\, Mr. Gwhisky himself\, will be our host for this incredible event! \nFounded in 1895\, Gordon & Macphail started off as a small retail shop on Elgin South Street\, they are now known as a multi-faceted international business: retailer\, international trade partner\, distiller\, and of course\, single malt maturation experts. At Keepers of the Cask\, participants will be able to sample the following highly-aged scotches from their lineup: \n\n1995 GM Aberfeldy 24Y\n2000 GM Clynelish 24Y Angel’s Choice #6\n2003 GM Glenlivet 21Y Angel’s Choice #4\n2000 GM Mortlach 23Y\n2001 GM Scapa 23Y Taiwan Exclusive\n\nIn addition to these\, Dram Alliance’s Keeper of Taipei Chapter\, Lester\, will also prepare an incredible mystery dram for everyone to enjoy. While the exact bottle will be kept secret\, we can say that this bottle is NOT available here in Taiwan! This is one whsky lineup you will not want to miss! \nGeoff Oxley of Gwhisky fame will be taking everyone through each of the drams\, bringing his signature wit and extensive knowledge of whisky. The venue for the event is Gilley’s Garden. Located in Shilin District\, this restaurant has an excellent menu of entrees\, and even boasts a semi-buffet. The cover charge for this tasting event is $1\,400 NTD. \nAfter the tasting (around 8:00)\, we will also do a Drammers Time bring-your-own-bottle event. To participate in this bottle share\, simply bring a whisky with a minimum cost of $3\,000 NTD to share with your fellow Drammers. As always\, you can bring bottles that are already open\, but please do make sure there is at least half the bottle left so that everyone can have a chance to try it. \nThis event is organized by the Taiwan Chapter of Dram Alliance – an international whisky group that features chapters in multiple cities across the globe. DESCRIPTION:Greetings Taipei Drammers! \nAfter the rousing success of our first event last month\, the Taiwan Chapter of Drammers United is proud to bring to you our next event – a Signatory Tasting hosted by the one and only Gwhisky! \nThis November 14th\, join us once again at The Gathering Bar & Eatery for an exclusive tasting featuring six well-aged expressions from Signatory Vintage. Here’s the lineup of whiskies that you’ll be able to enjoy: \n\n2007 Signatory Teaninich 17Y Symington’s Choice\n2008 Signatory Old Pulteney 16Y\n2007 Signatory Mortlach 17Y Symington’s Choice\n2005 Signatory Speyside (M) 17Y\n1992 Signatory Longmorn 22Y\nMystery Dram (Oldest of the lineup!)\n\nThe tasting will be guided by Geoff Oxley. Also known as Gwhisky\, Geoff is the mastermind behind the Gwhisky YouTube channel – a whisky channel with over 27\,000 subscribers around the globe. With this wealth of whisky knowledge and quick wit\, this event is virtually guaranteed to be a great time! \nThe cost of this tasting will be $1000 NTD per person. This is a lineup that fans of cask strength whiskies will not want to miss! \nAfter the tasting (around 8:00)\, we will also do a Drammers Time bring-your-own-bottle event. To participate in this bottle share\, simply bring a whisky with a minimum cost of $2\,000 NTD to share with your fellow Drammers. As always\, you can bring bottles that are already open\, but please do make sure there is at least half the bottle left so that everyone can have a chance to try it. \nOnce again\, the peeps at The Gathering Bar & Eatery are lending us their awesome space for this event\, so please do come and order something from their scrumptious menu!
